Fiona McGarry PhD
Fi McGarry worked as a primary teacher and professional writer before joining the University of Dundee in 2005. She currently lectures in Education and Creative Learning. Fi’s PhD focuses on the use of story as a learning device, and she has used story in its many guises throughout her teaching career. Her writing includes educational material for BBC Scotland, and she has worked with Scottish Youth Theatre, Dundee Rep Theatre, and the Royal Lyceum Theatre. As well as working in teacher education, Fi continues to work with young people, visiting schools and running story workshops.
Donald Gunn MA LLB PGVit
Donald Gunn studied philosophy and law at Dundee University, and Information Technology at the University of St Andrews. He has considerable business experience alongside a writing career which has included working with BBC Radio Scotland, Theatre Alba, Dundee Rep Theatre and Radio Clyde, whose production of Donald’s radio play The Second Coming Of Alvin Cholmondeley won a gold medal at the New York Radio Drama Festival. He has also written a number of short stories for both children and adults.
